About Us

We Hill Social Welfare Society, with 25 years of running of experience dedicated to empowering communities especially single women, small and marginalized farmers, youth through sustainable development initiatives. We are working at grassroot level with implementing program like skill development, livelihood support and others.

Affiliated with Nehru Yuwa Kendra an Autonomous Body Under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, Darjeeling. Affiliation Number is 0428 dated 10.12.2004 application No. 01 Memo No. Affn/NYK/Dj/05/06 dated 7th April 2005.

The Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) Programme, launched by the Government of India, aims to reduce maternal and infant mortality and improve reproductive health. It provides antenatal, postnatal, and family planning services, immunization, and nutrition support, especially targeting women and children in rural and underserved areas through integrated healthcare delivery.

Prevention & Control programme on STI/HIV/AIDS

The Prevention and Control Programme on STI/HIV/AIDS for Flying Sex Workers focuses on reducing infection risks through targeted outreach, awareness, regular health check-ups, STI treatment, condom promotion, and counseling. It ensures access to healthcare services, builds trust, and empowers sex workers with knowledge and resources to protect their health and rights.

The Legal Advice and Awareness Campaign in the Darjeeling Hills aims to empower marginalized communities by educating them on their legal rights and available remedies. Hill Social Welfare Society

This organization is a women base organization working for the development of the women folk. This organization is running an information centre for the underprivileged &dropouts children, a DIC (Drop-in-centre) for the High Risk Community people, a centre for prevention, re-integration, restoration of women & child trafficking, a handloom weaving training centre/production existing with more than 100 nos. of women beneficiaries &316 nos. of Self Help Groups especially women from the rural belt. There are existing policies HR policy, Gender Policy, Financial Policy, harassment policy, safeguarding Policy & Child Protection policy. This organization has executive members consisting 7 women executives members. It was established formed in the year 2000-2001.
