Established in the year 2000-2001 has been working for the upliftment and livelihood Development of Women, children and youths in the hilly region of the Kalimpong and the Darjeeling District in the state of west Bengal. We have been working on women/ unemployment youths/ SHGs for the livelihood development programme at Kalimpong I, II (Algarah) and Gorubathan Block of the District. The unemployment is increasing day by day which is resulting towards poor livelihood status (Low source of income) and there is dire need of upgrading the livelihood status of every household. We are basically working on women empowerment and youth development initiatives; health, education and human trafficking along with formation & empowering the self help group members through various skill development trainings .There are 450 nos. of SHG’s existing under this organization mobilizing more than 4500 SHG members through skill development trainings for better income generation programs and other local issues like water and sanitation in the hilly region. In both Darjeeling and Kalimpong District there are no industrial sectors, factories, instead of the tea gardens, so people are migrated because of lack of employment and there has been chance of maximum cases of unsafe migration and illegal trafficking. The hilly region being bordered by countries like Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal, China and other states of India Sikkim and residence of various caste and tribes of people and their local languages where there exists vulnerability of human trafficking.

Hill social welfare society has been associated with NABARAD since 2005 to 2016. The first financial support grant received by HSWS is Rs. 12,500/- on 2005 for SHG 3 days' workshop at Sangsay GP Block II Kalimpong to help and encourage the women development program in hilly region from Mr. S.K Chatterjee, General Manager of NABARD Kolkata. Since, long time we have working experience with NABARD. We have organized many workshops and training programs for SHG and unemployed youth, framers in Darjeeling and Kalimpong at different villages of hilly region. We have experience on health sector on BASIC HEALTH CARE /GENERAL HEALTH CARE YEAR 2007 - 2021/ RCH 2005 BY WBVHA KOLKATA (SUPPORTED BY GOVERNMENT) / HIV AIDS 2006 – 2014 SEX UNDER NECO GOVERNMENT OF WEST BENGAL /LEPROSY/ KANYASHREE ADOLATION HEALTH 2019 – 2023 till date supported by government.
